Midfielder Dean Keates scored two and made two as Walsall cruised to victory to remain top of the League Two table. Mark Wright fired the Saddlers in front early in the second half after Keates squared the ball to him.
Keates scored his first on the hour with a sumptuous set-piece strike, curling the ball past Jason White.
The pint-sized midfielder grabbed his second with a rare headed goal and in stoppage time Keates' free-kick was converted by Anthony Gerrard.
