Ten-man Sheffield Wednesday slipped into the relegation zone after a damaging loss at struggling Blackpool.
They took an lead early on when Claus Jorgensen collected a Wes Hoolahan pass and cleverly shot past Lee Grant.
Wednesday hit back minutes later when a Franck Songo'o free-kick was headed home by skipper Richard Wood.
Kaspars Gorkss flicked into the box on 30 minutes for Paul Dickov to net a brilliant winner before Peter Gilbert was given a straight red on 51 minutes.
• Blackpool manager Simon Grayson on his side not being out of relegation trouble: "We are not out of the mire yet, this is a crazy division and we will have to watch all the teams around us.
"But we have had a poor run of late and have not won for eight games.
"This was one we really needed although I am not too happy with my defence, who played far too deep in the second half and allowed Sheffield to come at us with a late flurry of pressure."
• Sheffield Wednesday boss Brian Laws: "I thought we were somewhat bullied out of it in midfield and were second in far too many situations.
"We went behind early and I wanted them to remain calm and solid. We did for a time and came back into the game with a quick leveller.
"Obviously Paul Dickov's goal gave Blackpool a massive lift - but the sending off of my player (Peter Gilbert) proved decisive.
