Zoltan Gera scored with two excellent second-half headers

Chris Iwelumo put Charlton ahead against the run of play with a fine 37th-minute header, but Roman Bednar quickly equalised with a cool finish.

Gera converted Chris Brunt's cross soon after the break before Izale McLeod's shot crept in to bring Charlton level.

Another Gera header put West Brom 3-2 up and Phillips scrambled home late on.
