Former Nigeria defender Taribo West has joined Iranian side Paykan on a one-year contract. The 33-year-old centre-back sealed the deal with the Premier League club after passing a medical.
West, who has been out of action for over a year after leaving English side Plymouth Argyle in October 2005, was relieved after passing the medical.
The former AC Milan star said: "What gives me the most pleasure is coming through the medical."
West is expected to earn around US$250,000 for the period, and will hope to help improve the fortunes of Paykan this season after the club finished seventh last term.
West began his foreign career with French outfit Auxerre and has since played for Inter Milan, AC Milan, Derby County, Kaiserslautern, Partizan Belgrade, Al-Arabi and Plymouth.
