Conference boosted by 6m package

The Football Conference has been boosted by £6m over three seasons after agreeing a solidarity package with the Premier League.

The funding will be split into general payments to the 68 clubs as well as a development fund for specific projects.

The money will help invest in local youth development.

Richard Scudamore, Premier League chief executive, said: "We recognise the importance of the health of football outside of the Football League."
