The stage is set and I think it will be a fascinating Test match between West Indies and India.

The two sides are pretty much on a par and will be playing on one of the quickest wickets in the world.

In my time, Sabina Park and the WACA in Perth were the two quickest pitches by far.

The West Indies have a better pace attack, but the two Indian left-armers - Zaheer Khan and Ashish Nehra - plus Javagal Srinath are coming on fine.

India will miss spinner Anil Kumble who gave an extremely gutsy performance in the last Test but spinner Harbhajan Singh and will come in and will play a very important part.

But the onus is on the Indian batsmen, if they win the toss they've got to get something in the region of 350-400.

Sachin Tendulkar is due for a big score and you can't keep a good man down for long. He'll be out to redeem himself.

When greats like Tendulkar start failing, people ask questions but I don't think there's a lot wrong with his technique.

He's got one of the finest techniques I've ever seen.

He's very solid and he's certainly got a better technique than Sunil Gavaskar, who has all those record centuries.

I think Tendulkar will come back with a bang - he'll get a big hundred here.

Sourav Ganguly has been open to criticism since becoming captain as he's made many mistakes.

Ganguly could become a national hero

I don't like the way he sometimes acts towards his players on the field. He has shown resentment if they make mistakes, but if India win he'll be exonerated immediately.

Look at David Beckham, that goal against Greece made him the darling of England.

West Indies are playing at home and Jamaica has favoured them in the past because of their quick bowlers, so their spirits will be quite high.

But millions will be following the game in India, probably about 80 per cent of the population.

Not everyone has a TV set, but there are radios, and people gather round shops, in the streets, in the bazaars to watch and listen.

This is the ultimate, it's the last Test match - it's 1-1 and it's go for gold time.
