New Zealand have recalled big-hitting batsman Jesse Ryder for next month's tour of Bangladesh. The 24-year-old missed the summer series against England after damaging his hand in a nightclub incident but has now returned to full fitness. Fast bowler Chris Martin also returns to the one-day squad, while Aaron Redmond is named for the Tests only. The teams will play three one-day internationals starting on 9 October followed by two Tests. Ryder burst on to the scene at the start of the season, forming an aggressive opening partnership with wicketkeeper Brendon McCullum in New Zealand's one-day squad. | 606: DEBATE | But his progress was halted when he severed tendons in his hand when he broke a window while trying to get into a locked nightclub toilet. Selectors have now decided to give Ryder, who has a history of disciplinary problems, another opportunity to prove himself. "I'm stoked to be given another chance," said Ryder. "It's been a long time coming. It was up to them (the selectors) to give me another chance and I'm just happy they did."
