Australian cricket chiefs are searching for a new academy boss after Bennett King's exit to coach the West Indies. Academy director Trevor Robertson said it was "disappointing" to lose someone of King's calibre but congratulated him on his achievements
"Bennett King has made an outstanding contribution to the progress and development of Australia's emerging players," said Robertson.
"His expertise, knowledge and dedication are second-to-none."
Robertson added: "This role is a wonderful opportunity for Bennett to demonstrate his skills as coach of a national team.
"Cricket Australia understands his decision to take on this next challenge in his career."
King will take up his post in the Caribbean in mid-November, along with senior Australian academy coach David Moore, who will work as his assistant.
