Pakistan fighting hard
Nehra salutes Inzamam's wicket
It was India's day but Pakistan have not given in
Pakistan coach Javed Miandad said the deciding Test against India was not over, despite being bowled out for 224.

The tailenders made the score respectable in Rawalpindi after Pakistan were 137-8 at one stage.

At the close of play, India were 23-1 after Virender Sehwag was out first ball, dismissed by Shoaib Akhtar.

Miandad said: "The way we succumbed showed that we're not mentally strong. But the scoring rate is down, and we are continuing to fight."

Miandad blamed Pakistan for giving their wickets away after India won the toss and elected to bat.

I was disappointed at missing out on a 50, but at least I could help my team reach a fighting total
Mohammad Sami

He added: " The toss was crucial on this wicket, which suited the Indian bowlers early on.

"I don't think their bowlers were extraordinary. . I hope the boys realise their mistakes."

Mohammad Sami scored a career-best 49 and said Pakistan should not be written off yet.

He said: "I was disappointed at missing out on a 50, but at least I could help my team reach a fighting total.

"The ball was moving around a lot today and we're confident of some assistance from the pitch tomorrow morning."
