Flintoff and Brunt were instrumental in winning both Ashes series

Both were inspirational as England's men and women regained the Ashes after 18 years and 42 years respectively.

Flintoff scored 402 runs and took 24 wickets in five Tests while seam bowler Brunt took 14 wickets in just two.

Flintoff, who has since gone on to captain the England team in Michael Vaughan's absence, said: "It is a great honour.
