Hampshire have announced that six players have signed extensions to their contracts at the Rose Bowl. Batsmen Michael Lumb and Michael Carberry and bowler Chris Tremlett have signed new three-year deals. There are also new two-year deals for batsmen Jimmy Adams and Chris Benham and bowler David Balcombe. Team manager Giles White said: "I am delighted that this group of players have extended their contracts. They are highly valued by the club." He added: "It is hoped that they will form the core of the side for years to come." Meanwhile, the county have awarded five 12-month development contracts to Hampshire Academy graduates Tom Parsons, Ben Howell, James Vince, Hamza Riazzudin and Chris Morgan.
