The series in Pakistan has been hard fought |
Pakistan and Indian officials are to meet to discuss future series between the two sides. India's current tour of Pakistan, their first for 15 years, has been a huge financial success despite poor attendances for the Test matches.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has earned more than 11.5m from the tour.
The two boards will now consider plans for a one-day series later this year with three games in each country, and a tour to India by Pakistan in 2005.
PCB chief executive Rameez Raja said the main obstacle to the six-match 'Friendship' series was finding time to fit it into a busy international schedule.
Both sides are due to take part in a triangular tournament, also involving Australia, in Holland in August, which will act as a warm-up for the ICC Champions Trophy.
