Mark Allen fell to a 6-1 defeat by Chang Bingyu in Saturday night's Scottish Open semi-final in Edinburgh.
The world number 10 from Northern Ireland was quickly 2-0 down as Chang made a 134 clearance followed by a break of 108.
Chinese player Chang added the third before Allen pulled one back.
Chang hit two half-century breaks as he moved 5-1 in front and took the seventh frame to seal a comfortably victory.
The 23-year-old, who is 70th in the world rankings, will face Chris Wakelin, who beat fellow Englishman Matthew Selt 6-4 earlier on Saturday.
