Marek Churcher has praised his new-look Redruth side after coming away from Clifton with a bonus point win.

Four new signings - Joel Matvesi, Brad Howe, Luke Chapman and Ben Fox - came into the squad which secured a 28-20 win in National Two South.

"It's great to come away from somewhere like Clifton with four new guys in the team and get a win," Churcher told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"And to not only get a win, but get a bonus point at the death as well."

Alex Ducker scored two tries for the Reds, while Matt Gidlow and Shaun Buzza also scored as the Cornish side ended a two-game losing streak and consolidated fifth place in the division.

"The boys were willing to put their bodies on the line and it was a phenomenal game to watch for the spectators," added Churcher.

"Credit to our guys, they stuck at it for 80 minutes and they deserved to win that game."
