Wilkinson left Newcastle to play for Toulon in 2009
England World Cup winner Jonny Wilkinson will join the Rugby Players' Association hall of fame on 13 May.
The 35-year-old, who ended his career after helping Toulon to a European Cup defence last summer, joins legends Gareth Edwards and Michael Lynagh among those to receive the award.
"I'm honoured to be joining such an illustrious line-up," said Wilkinson.
Martin Johnson and Jason Robinson - Wilkinson's fellow 2003 World Cup winners - are also previous winners.
Wilkinson has taken up a role at Toulon as a part-time coach and worked as a media pundit since retiring as a player.
