Challenge Cup holders Hull KR dismantled threadbare Huddersfield Giants to reach the last eight of this year's competition.

They ran in nine tries in a 52-12 victory at the Accu Stadium to advance, six days after beating the same opponents in Super League.

St Helens came through with a convincing 32-8 win at Castleford Tigers, while Leigh Leopards progressed 16-6 past struggling Hull FC in the day's other two all-Super League ties.

Elsewhere, Warrington Wolves, Catalans Dragons and York Knights were all easy winners in the remaining matches.

Warrington thrashed Goole Vikings 78-10, the French side hammered Oldham 58-0 in Perpignan, and Super League newcomers York beat Keighley Cougars 56-10.

The six teams joined Friday night winners Wigan Warriors and Wakefield Trinity in the quarter-final draw on Tuesday, live on BBC's Morning Live programme.

Winning at Wembley last June ended a 45-year wait to lift the Challenge Cup again for Hull KR and was the start of a famous treble-winning season.

They want to defend their trophy and they had far too much for Huddersfield, who are without 16 first-team players because of injury.

Star man Mikey Lewis led the way with two tries, including a sensational solo effort from inside his own half.

Tom Whitehead, Peta Hiku, Tom Amone, Bill Leyland, Sam Luckley and Oli Gildart also crossed for the Robins in a one-sided encounter.

Centre Taane Milne scored the Giants' two tries as their early struggles continued with this defeat, added to four in Super League.

St Helens made it four wins on the spin in all competitions as they came through a tricky encounter away to Castleford.

Last winners of the Challenge Cup five years ago, they have suffered a lean spell in this trophy but they broke the back of this tie in the first half as Daryl Clark, Lewis Murphy and Mark Percival tries established a 16-0 lead.

Three more were scored in the second half, through Tristan Sailor, Agnatius Paasi and Kyle Feldt, with efforts from Jason Qareqare and Ashton Golding adding a little consolation for the side currently 10th in Super League.

That is three places above Leigh, but they shrugged off some poor league form to come out on top in a low-scoring game with Hull FC.

The 2023 winners only scored two tries, through Lachlan Lam and Innes Senior, but they limited their visitors to a sole Cade Cust score.

And with a 12-6 half-time lead, two goals from Adam Cook put them out of reach of Hull, who have now lost four on the spin.

Easy for Super League sides

Warrington have been runners-up at Wembley in the past two seasons, but their 100% start to 2026 continued against Goole, the lowest side left in the Challenge Cup.

A Cooper Howlett try briefly had the Vikings level at 6-6 in the match, which the side from Humberside had chosen to switch to the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

But that was a minor blip on an afternoon when the Super League side ran in 13 tries, with two each for Jake Thewlis and Josh Smith, and nine other players grabbing one, while Chris Irwin had an impressive 100% success rate with his conversions.

York have made a good start on their Super League debut, with two wins from four matches, and they can now add a Challenge Cup quarter-final place to that.

They were far too strong at home to Keighley, with doubles for Liam Harris and King Vuniyayawa amongst their 10 tries.

The Cougars' consolation efforts came from Brad Holroyd and George Flanagan Sr, the 39-year-old father of Huddersfield full-back George.

There was no consolation for fellow Championship side Oldham on their trip to the south of France, with Catalans in a ruthless mood.

There were 11 unanswered tries from the hosts, with French teenager Marc Lenny leading the way with a hat-trick as the Dragons advanced to the last eight for the third successive season.
