Rebecca Holloway has pushed a long way up field and is trying to find space for a cross.

She's done well to put press on, but tries to do a little too much and is eventually forced to run the ball over the line.

A HUGE chance missed for Everton, this.

Kenza Dali with some excellent work on the right creates space to cross. She sends in an inviting ball into box and and finds Grace Clinton unmarked. But her headed effort is easily dealt with. Totally lacked power.

While the goal is being credited to Leonie Maier, the deflection off Harriet Scott is what beat Emily Ramsey at her near post.

While we only have the one WSL game to bring you today, there will be plenty to come tomorrow.

The final game of the weekend will see Arsenal take on Manchester City.

Kenza Dali's early cross looking for Toni Duggan causes a moment of panic.

    Everton 1-1 Birmingham City

Birmingham City are inviting Everton to run at them from defence.

The back four, however, are only managing to shift the ball amongst themselves. The hosts are lacking creativity right now.

Birmingham City played with great composure leading up to that equaliser and looking at ease as the interval gets closer.

    Jade Pennock

Hugely deserved equaliser from Birmingham City.

And it's fantastic finish from Jade Pennock. She beats Sandy MacIver with power and accuracy as she finds the bottom left corner.

Some great work from Louise Quinn to set up the chance.

    Everton 1-0 Birmingham City

For two teams that have offered so little in attack so far this season, the past few minutes have been remarkable.

I can't see this one staying at 1-0.

  15. CLOSE!published at 26 mins

This one is begging to be buried into the back of the net!

Birmingham City are not abandoning their approach and are pressing Everton high.

Sarah Ewens comes up with the ball and plays it left to Veatriki Sarri, who has a go from distance but fails to trouble Sandy MacIver in Everton's goal.

    Everton 1-0 Birmingham City

That goal for Everton is their first of the season, and they are heaping pressure on in search of a quick second.

Another promising attack comes to nothing as the flag is up for offside.
