Michael van Gerwen, Peter Wright, Rob Cross, Gary Anderson, Daryl Gurney, Mensur Suljovic, Simon Whitlock and Dave Chisnall all qualified.
They are split into two groups and all play each other once with the top two in each group heading to the semi-finals.
Mensur Suljovic is the current holder after beating Gary Anderson 11-9 last year.

The increasing popularity of darts as a spectator sport means that few will be unfamiliar with the concept: two people take it in turns to throw darts at a board, scoring by landing them in sections awarding 1-20 points, with doubles and trebles available for each.
