  2. Route to the finalpublished at 17:12 GMT 7 March 2019

This year's WBBL Trophy began with a group stage consisting of four groups of three teams, two groups representing the northern teams and two representing the southern teams.

Each team played home and away against the other two sides, with the top team from each group qualifying for the semi-finals.

Leicester have proved to be the in-form side so far having remained unbeaten on the road to Glasgow, while Durham also impressed, losing just once in a narrow 72-68 defeat to Newcastle in the group stages.

Both teams then sprung surprises in the semi-finals, Leicester edging league leaders Sevenoaks in overtime and Durham securing their final spot with a home win over Cup winners Sheffield.

    What is basketball?

    • A game where two teams compete to score the most points by throwing a ball into their opponents net.
    • Players can move freely around the court, except for the player with the ball who can only move when bouncing or 'dribbling' the ball.
    • All you need to get started is a ball and a hoop and you don't need any special kit - just comfortable clothes and trainers.

    Is basketball for me?

Basketball can be played by people of any age, size or ability and with thousands of outdoor courts across the country - where you can play for free - there's plenty of places to practice if you don't fancy competing with a team.
