Nottingham Panthers have signed former NHL draft pick Cody Wild.
The 27-year-old defenceman was selected in the fifth round of the 2006 draft by Edmonton Oilers and was traded to the Boston Bruins in 2010.
He failed to make a NHL appearance for either side, spending much of his career in the AHL, including spells at Springfield, Providence Bruins and and Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins.
Most recently he featured for Orland in the ECHL.
"He was high up the scoring charts for 'D' men last year and had nearly a point a game in the season before that," Panthers head coach Corey Neilson told the club website., external
"I see him fitting in with our younger, more mobile and more skilled defence corps in the coming season very nicely."
