Trip to Paris gave Grand National-winning jockey Graham Lee a big win on the Flat when claiming the Chester Cup.

Lee, who triumphed at Aintree in 2004 on Amberleigh House, came with a well-judged run to win on the 10-1 chance.

He denied the Irish pair of Quick Jack and Zafayan, with Gabrial's King in fourth place.

Odds-on favourite Sir Isaac Newton was beaten into second by 8-1 chance Cymro in the maiden stakes and is now 25-1 (from 10s) for the Derby at Epsom.

Lee completed a 285-1 double when 25-1 chance Silvanus won the penultimate contest on day one of the May Festival.
