Barrow sign Powell and forward Malcolm on loan

League Two Barrow have signed defender Brandon Powell and forward Jovan Malcolm on loan the until the end of the season.
Powell joins from Blackburn Rovers, where he has come through the youth system, while Malcolm joins from League One Stevenage.
Malcolm, 23, has scored one goal in 14 games for Stevenage - mostly as a substitute - since a summer move from National League Gateshead.
"I'm delighted to get it over the line, I've been desperate for the opportunity to come and play football," he told the club's website, external.
Defender Powell, 20, made his first-team debut against Hull City in the FA Cup earlier in January and then made his Championship bow nine days later against Swansea City.
"I've known of the interest for a while and to get it done feels great and I just can't wait to get started," he said., external
"The conversations I've had with the gaffer have been great. He's been telling me about how I will fit in the team and how I will impact the team which is the main thing you want to hear."

Barrow have now made six January additions for new head coach Paul Gallagher, but they have lost their first two games under him.
The Bluebirds are 19th in League Two, just four points above the relegation zone.
