Ricardo Santos is close to leaving Swansea City for Reading after the clubs agreed a fee for the centre-back.
Santos has endured a frustrating spell at Swansea since joining on a free transfer following his release by Bolton Wanderers last summer.
The 30-year-old has made only one Swans appearance - as a substitute in the 3-0 defeat at Bristol City in November - having been behind club captain Ben Cabango, Cameron Burgess and on-loan West Ham youngster Kaelan Casey in the queue for game-time in central defence.
Santos' attempts to establish himself at Swansea have not been helped by injury, with a knee problem seeing him miss the first six weeks of the season.
He has also had a hip problem in recent weeks, but has been in training with Vitor Matos' squad.
Santos made 207 appearances for Bolton - including 32 last season - and was Wanderers' skipper between October 2021 and September 2024.
He previously played for Dagenham and Redbridge, Peterborough United and Barnet.
Reading are currently ninth in League One, four points outside the play-off places.
