Guardiola rules out numerous signings despite injury issues

Pep Guardiola had a barrage of questions thrown his way regarding the injuries at Manchester City and said they have "six or seven players" out, before reeling off the main issues.
Guardiola said Josko Gvardiol is out "for a long time" after sustaining a broken shinbone against Chelsea, while fellow centre-half Ruben Dias will be unavailable for "four to six weeks" with a hamstring issue.
Guardiola has "no idea" how long John Stones will be out for, which is a major concern, as the defender enters into the final six months of his contract at Etihad Stadium.
City suffered an injury crisis last season too and spent about £200m on five new signings to try to resolve their issues.
Guardiola said it is not the same this time as the "spirit is different", adding: "Maybe we get something but it is completely different [to last season]. We are not going to buy four or five players like last season.
"To have the best transfer net spend in the country. We are not but apparently we always are."
