Burton Albion have been fined £12,500 for failing to control their players during their defeat by Plymouth Argyle earlier this month.

The Brewers pleaded guilty to the Football Association's charge after players surrounded a match official in the 75th minutes of the 3-0 defeat at Home Park.

It came after Burton's Kyran Lofthouse fouled Brendan Galloway to concede what Brewers boss Gary Bowyer called a "debatable penalty".

The result on 4 January saw Plymouth go above Burton in the League One table, with the Brewers slipping into the relegation places.
