Gillingham and Colchester have both been fined £9,000 by the FA following a mass confrontation on the pitch at the end of their League Two fixture on 29 December.

The two clubs admitted charges levelled against them for failing to control players and staff after the final whistle of the contest at Priestfield Stadium which finished 1-1.

Issuing both clubs with financial penalties, the independent Regulatory Commission noted that trouble had been instigated after a "coming together" between Gillingham manager Gareth Ainsworth and Colchester boss Danny Cowley.
