Adam Idah is set for a "significant" spell on the sidelines with the striker among a number of injury headaches for Swansea City boss Vitor Matos.
Republic of Ireland international Idah, 24, is to see a specialist over the hamstring problem picked up in training before Swansea's defeat at Coventry on 26 December.
Matos said Idah "could be" facing months out of action, while Swansea – who are already without Liam Cullen – are waiting for news on Josh Key and Ronald after they were forced off during the New Year's Day win over West Bromwich Albion.
Key was substituted at half-time after a collision with Callum Styles left him with a foot issue, while Ronald came off late on after his challenge on Ousmane Diakite led to Swansea's winning goal.
"Let's see [with Key]. He had a hole on the top of the foot, because of the contact with his foot," Matos said.
"Ronnie (Ronald) was a contact as well. I hope they will not be serious."
While Idah's probable lay-off is a heavy blow to Matos' options in attack, there is better news of Cullen.
The Wales international has missed Swansea's past two matches with a calf problem and Matos expects him to be out for another fortnight.
The absence of Idah and Cullen meant Swansea started without a recognised striker against West Brom, with attacking midfielder Melker Widell operating in the most advanced central role before Zan Vipotnik came on the in the second half.
With another game at Millwall to come on Sunday, 4 January, Matos said Vipotnik began on the bench because of the frantic festive fixture list.
"We need to manage the players. We need to manage the individuals in terms of freshness, in terms of availability," he added.
