Portsmouth boss John Mousinho has revealed the club are close to announcing another signing to bolster their ranks this January.

So far the Blues have welcomed three new faces in the transfer window, bringing in midfielder Ebou Adams and wingers Millenic Alli and Keshi Anderson.

With less than a week remaining until Monday's deadline, Mousinho is confident that there will be further additions in the coming days.

"Progress is going pretty well, we're close on at least one," Portsmouth boss Mousinho said.

"Hopefully that will be tomorrow [Thursday], we're still monitoring the situation injury wise at the moment on a couple of bits but we feel the players that have come in so far have made a really solid impact.

"If we can have anything before the weekend then great but I think the most important thing is that we come out of the window and we feel stronger than we were going in.

"If we can keep adding and bolstering then it will be good for us.

"I'm pretty confident we can get the players we need, at the minute we have been patient with a few at the back end of the window that we are waiting on.

"It's felt like quite a slow window with not much activity but I suspect there will been the last week."
