Fans in search of a midweek football fix will have spotted that a Serie A match between Pisa and Como is taking place at 14:00 GMT (15:00 local time) on Tuesday.

The fixture, which sees Cesc Fabregas' side travel to bottom of the table Pisa, is the first part of a full midweek fixture list in Italy's top-flight.

It is taking place on Tuesday due to Epiphany, a Christian feast day, which is a bank holiday in Italy.

As part of the celebrations, the league has scheduled matches across the day to mirror a typical Sunday schedule in the league.

Following that early kick-off, Lecce host Roma at 17:00 GMT before Sassuolo take on Juventus (19:45 GMT).

The remaining seven matches will take place across Wednesday and Thursday.

In 2025, the Italian Super Cup final between Inter Milan and AC Milan was played on Epiphany, with AC winning that match 3-2.
