Ryan Brobbel scored nine minutes from time as The New Saints beat Bala Town 2-1 to go four points clear at the top of the JD Cymru Premier.
The game at Park Hall passed an early afternoon pitch inspection after two previous attempts to stage the game over the Christmas and New Year period were called off.
Rory Holden gave Saints the lead on 51 minutes, but Bala's Nelson Digbeu levelled two minutes later.
However, Bala were denied a precious point and they remain 11th after Brobbel struck late on.
Saints are four points clear of second placed Connah's Quay Nomads before Friday's scheduled final round of fixtures in phase one.
Three clubs – Barry Town United, Colwyn Bay and Cardiff Met – are chasing the final two spots in the top six Championship Conference for the second half of the season.
