Stephen Healy has left his role as head coach of MK Dons Women to move to an as yet unnamed club in a higher division.
He was appointed as the team's first full-time boss in June, having previously been a first-team coach at West Ham Women, after the Dons moved to incorporate them into the overall club structure., external
They are currently eighth in Women's National League Division One South East following last season's relegation, but are unbeaten in their past five games.
"He has worked tirelessly for the women's team, and that has shown massively in their performances throughout the season so far," Dons chief executive Neil Hart said.
"For the team to be undefeated for five games in a row is a stark improvement on last season, and we would like to thank Stephen for his efforts.
"The opportunity presented to him to manage at a higher level is ultimately a reflection on his fantastic work with MK Dons Women this season."
MK Dons Women finished bottom of Women's National League Southern Premier Division last season, managing a single point from 22 games, with a goal difference of minus 117.
"The team has seen such massive growth in such a short space of time, and it's only on an upwards trajectory, so I'm really excited for the football club and where it's going," Healy said.
"I'm leaving with a heavy heart, because I've made some wonderful connections here, and will miss them all greatly."
