Freestone agrees new deal with Stevenage

Stevenage defender Lewis Freestone has signed what the club say is a "new and improved contract".
The 26-year-old joined Boro from Cheltenham Town in the summer of 2024 and has made 53 appearances, 19 of them this season.
Freestone has also contributed three goals in the current campaign, including one in their last game, a 2-1 defeat at Luton Town.
A club statement, external said his "consistency and reliability" had contributed to "a number of impressive performances throughout the season so far".
Stevenage are eighth in League One, just two points outside the play-off places, ahead of Saturday's game away to Exeter City.
