Rubin Colwill has signed a new deal with Cardiff City which ties him to the club until the summer of 2030.
Wales international Colwill has made 181 appearances for the Bluebirds since making his debut in 2021.
The Cardiff vice captain's contract was set to expire next year, but he has agreed a deal to remain with the League One side for the next four years.
Colwill has impressed for the Bluebirds this season despite missing three months with an ankle injury.
The 23-year-old has scored seven goals this season, including three goals in his last two matches.
In a club statement Colwill said: "I'm very happy to get this sorted. This is my club and it's the only place I've wanted to be since I was nine.
"I want to thank Tan Sri Vincent, the board and Brian [Barry-Murphy] for showing such faith and belief in me.
"I'm extremely proud to be wearing this shirt and I'll give everything I can to get us back to where we belong. I can only see exciting times for us ahead."
Colwill is the latest young Welsh player to sign a new deal with Cardiff.
He joins Cian Ashford, Dylan Lawlor, Ronan Kpakio and Isaak Davies in committing his future to the League One promotion hopefuls.
