Preston extend Lewis' deal to end of season

Preston North End have extended the contract of full-back Jamal Lewis until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old Northern Ireland international joined the Lilywhites on a short-term deal in October and has since made eight appearances.

His first North End appearance came off the bench during a win at Southampton at the start of November.

Lewis previously made 100 appearances for Norwich as well as playing for Newcastle and having loans spells at Watford and with Sao Paulo in Brazil.

Paul Heckingbottom's side are currently seventh in the Championship table with just one point between themselves and the play-off places.
