West Brom winger Matheus Pereira has been suspended for three games after accepting a charge of violent conduct for a clash with Stoke's Joe Allen.
The alleged elbowing incident in the 35th minute of Albion's 1-0 defeat on Monday was missed by referee Tim Robinson, but caught by video evidence.
West Brom said they "decided not to contest the charge".
Pereira will miss Saturday's FA Cup tie against West Ham, as well as league games against Cardiff and Luton.
The Brazilian, on loan from Sporting Lisbon, has scored five goals in 27 appearances this term.
Championship leaders West Brom missed the chance to go four points clear at the top of the table on Monday after losing to relegation-threatened Stoke.
