Ryan Manning struck QPR's equaliser at Hull
Ebere Eze's late penalty double secured Queens Park Rangers' first win at Hull for almost half a century as they came from behind to triumph.
Jarrod Bowen put the Tigers ahead on the half-hour mark, latching on to Tom Eaves' flick-on to fire the ball past Liam Kelly.
But Ryan Manning levelled just before the break and Eze slotted home two spot-kicks in the last 12 minutes after he had been brought down on both occasions.
Josh Magennis pulled a goal back in added time, but it was not enough to deny QPR their first victory on Humberside since 1970.
Rangers had the better of the early exchanges, with Eze forcing a save from George Long and Nahki Wells having a goal ruled out for a foul in the build-up.
However, Hull gradually began to threaten and Kelly denied Kamil Grosicki on the break before Bowen grabbed the opener.
Eaves had a header cleared off the line by Yoann Barbet soon afterwards and Manning then snatched the equaliser, rifling a shot home from the edge of the box.
QPR took control after the break and Long denied Josh Scowen twice, but he could not prevent Eze from putting the visitors ahead from the spot in the 78th minute.
Eze made it 3-1 with a second penalty and, although Magennis reduced the deficit in the sixth of eight added minutes, Rangers held on.
Hull City boss Grant McCann told BBC Humberside:
"It was a good goal from Jarrod to get us off and running and I'm pleased for him that he's back among the goals. The goal before half-time was frustrating, it gave them a sense of belief.
"Second half, we were disappointing. I thought we didn't move the ball quick enough and when we did win it back, our possession wasn't good enough. We have to keep working and trying to improve.
"We didn't get to grips with them - we let Eze run the full length of the pitch and no-one laid a glove on him. Again for the third goal we let him drift past three or four of us and get into the box and that's frustrating."
QPR manager Mark Warburton:
"We know the threat and quality within the ranks of Hull - they are so dangerous in what they do - so we had to be at our best. I thought in the second half we were very good.
"We were one of the favourites for relegation at the start of the season. We've got one of the smaller budgets, but the players have worked really hard. We are creating chances and we look dangerous going forward.
"It's a big three points for us, but if you start running away from yourself you get hurt. But if we win 3-2 every game for the rest of the season I'll be a very happy man."
