Lincoln City 2-0 Fleetwood Town

Tyler Walker's first-half brace helped Lincoln City return to winning ways and keep the pressure on League One leaders Ipswich with a 2-0 win over Fleetwood.

The striker - who is on a season-long loan from Nottingham Forest - scored twice in the space of 60 seconds, a diving header, followed by a clinical finish after being set up by debutant Callum Connolly.

Fleetwood dominated possession in the first half hour, but Joey Barton's side failed to make the most of it and they were punished when the Imps took control with their two quick-fire goals.

The first goal arrived after 34 minutes when left-back Harry Toffolo swung over a glorious cross from the left which was headed home by Walker.

The Imps then struck again immediately when Connolly, who has just arrived on loan from Everton, slipped a cracking pass through to Walker, who slotted beyond former Imps goalkeeper Matt Gilks.

Fleetwood offered slightly more as an attacking force in the second half, with City stopper Josh Vickers saving a free-kick from Ashley Hunter, while Ched Evans missed a late sitter.
