Doncaster Rovers 2-1 Lincoln City

Jon Taylor grabbed his first goal for Doncaster Rovers to secure his side victory over Lincoln City in League One.

Wolves loanee Niall Ennis gave Rovers an early lead before Jorge Grant equalised in the second half, but Taylor came off the bench to settle an entertaining fixture with an 83rd-minute winner.

Lincoln started the game brightly but it was the hosts who took the lead after 13 minutes.

Ennis brought down a long ball with a superb touch, shifted it on to his left foot and rifled an effort into the top corner from 20 yards to score his first goal for the club.

He could have added further goals but he spurned a couple of opportunities as Rovers improved after taking the lead.

But Lincoln levelled when Grant was left clear at the back post to side-foot in a deep cross.

The Imps looked the more likely winner but, after spending much of the second half on the back foot, Rovers went back in front with seven minutes left.

Kazaiah Sterling wrestled his way into the box, saw a shot saved but then found fellow substitute Taylor, who slammed in from eight yards.
