Jarrod Bowen's second-half strike for Hull was his second goal in two games
Ollie Watkins knocked in a second-half equaliser to secure Brentford a point from an even encounter against Hull City at Griffin Park.
Watkins scored his second goal in as many games when he found the net from six yards after great work by Sergi Canos.
A dull first half brought little excitement but the excellent Jarrod Bowen grabbed Hull's opener after the break when he smashed home after a cute pass by Leonardo Da Silva Lopes.
Both sides had chances to earn all three points in a lively finale, most notably Hull, who saw Kamil Grosicki hit the post with a fierce free-kick.
The impressive Kevin Stewart was also off target for the Tigers, shooting over when well placed, while Watkins, Canos and Julian Jeanvier could all have won it for the Bees.
Watkins almost added a second within two minutes of his equaliser, but his header from a Canos cross was brilliantly saved by keeper George Long.
Canos then saw a strike deflected wide and Jeanvier headed a glorious opportunity past the post from eight yards after 88 minutes, but both sides had to settle for a first draw in three league games this season.
Brentford head coach Thomas Frank:
"I am disappointed with the goal we gave away but I am 100% sure we will only get better and better and better throughout the season.
"We have to be patient but I am impatient like the fans and want it to be clicking as soon as possible. But the managers, coaches and players will keep coaching, working hard and reflecting until it comes.
"How long will it take? Hopefully four days, before our next game."
Hull City manager Grant McCann told BBC Radio Humberside:
"I think we deserved to win the game. I've seen it back and their goal is a yard offside. It's really disappointing at this level to get a decision like that wrong.
"We've had three 45-minute displays of excellence. Today, I thought we had a complete performance. I thought we were excellent; the pressing, the energy, and the way we created chances on the break.
"There are definitely areas we can improve. The glaring one is keeping control of the game when we're in the lead. But today, I can't fault the boys. We should be coming away with a 1-0 win."
