Portsmouth 2-1 Coventry City

Captain Brett Pitman scored a dramatic late winner as promotion-chasing Portsmouth came from behind to beat Coventry at a sold-out Fratton Park.

Striker Pitman struck seven minutes from time to boost Pompey's hopes of a top-two finish with a seventh straight win.

The hosts were behind at half-time after Jordy Hiwula had given Coventry a ninth-minute lead.

Hiwula turned neatly before firing home from Amadou Bakayoko's through ball.

Pompey claimed a stoppage-time victory at Burton on Friday and they left it late again this time.

It took until 24 minutes from time for the south coast side to get back on level terms when Tom Naylor headed in a Lee Brown cross.

Pitman completed the turnaround 19 minutes later with a half-volley from the middle of the penalty area after Coventry goalkeeper Lee Burge had flapped at substitute Ronan Curtis' cross.
