Onel Hernandez celebrates his equaliser against Nottingham Forest
Manager Daniel Farke said the noise at Carrow Road felt like an "explosion" after an injury-time double from Onel Hernandez saw Norwich fight back from 3-0 down to draw with Nottingham Forest.
The Canaries dominated possession and territory but wasted numerous chances as they trailed to two Matty Cash strikes and a goal from Jack Robinson with 13 minutes remaining.
But, after a deflected Mario Vrancic effort brought hope, Hernandez scored in the 94th minute and the Cuban then smashed in a 98th-minute equaliser.
"Moments like these remind you why we started to play football in the first place and why we love it so much," Farke said.
"It's not about bonuses, contracts or even promotion - it's about scoring goals like that and putting smiles on the faces of the fans. That's why we play the game - for them.
"When that final goal went in it was like an explosion - it was something really special.
"I am so proud of my players for the way they kept going but I must also praise the supporters for the way they stuck with the team when we went 3-0 down. Their backing helped us get back in the game."
Hernandez's injury-time intervention rounded off a pulsating match at which saw the Canaries stretch their unbeaten record to 12 matches.
Cash's low shot had put Forest ahead against the run of the play in first-half stoppage time and, after Jack Robinson smashed in the second following a free-kick, Cash swept home number three after a slick move.

Matty Cash's first-half goal was his sixth of the season and was soon followed by his seventh
But Norwich, who stay second in the table, were finally rewarded for a relentless attacking display when Mario Vrancic's deflected shot made it 3-1 after 77 minutes.
Hernandez struck a second for the hosts in the fourth minute of added time and, a minute after the scheduled seven minutes of stoppage time, he fired in the third to earn an unlikely point.
Farke added: "It is amazing we came away with something after the way the game had gone. I think we had nearly 30 shots on goal, so many chances, and yet we weren't winning the game."
Norwich were wasteful in front of goal in the first half, with Reds keeper Costel Pantilimon making a stunning one-on-one save from Teemu Pukki and then an equally impressive reaction stop from a deflected Jamal Lewis effort.
But Forest, who are now winless in four matches and drop to 10th in the table, somehow managed to survive the early pressure and led when Cash robbed Max Aarons and smashed in his sixth goal of the season.
Two goals soon after the restart capped an impressive period by the visitors but Norwich, who had won five in a row in the league at home continued to create opportunities.
Pantilimon made an outstanding save to thwart Pukki and there were strong home claims for a penalty for handball against Robinson before Vrancic struck to give Norwich hope.
But the giant Romanian keeper made a mess of a tame Hernandez ball into the danger area that eluded everyone and then was beaten by a stylish finish after an incisive attack.
'A crazy game'
Forest manager Aitor Karanka was angered by his side's failure to close out a victory which seemed inevitable at 3-0, but refused to go into detail.
"I have my thoughts on the game but I really can't tell you," Karanka said. "It was a crazy game. I can say that.
"I thought we were punished for two mistakes, when we should have got the ball away. This has not been happening all the time - in many games recently we have been well organised and defended well.
"We were playing a very good side, who have been doing well recently. It's also true that us leading 3-0 wasn't maybe fair because they had a lot of chances.
"Before the game if someone had told me we would take a point against Norwich I would have accepted that - so we have to take this point and move on to the next game."
