Kaiyne Woolery scored a late Swindon Town winner to deny Newport County a point at the County Ground.
Michael Doughty opened the scoring after three minutes for the Robins as Richie Wellens' side started strongly.
The hosts took their one-goal advantage into half-time but it was soon cancelled out after the break, Padraig Amond levelling for Newport.
However, Woolery had the final say of the match, as Swindon snatched the three points at the end.
The win moves Swindon up one place to 11th, while Newport drop to sixth.
Newport manager Mike Flynn said: "We didn't start at all. To concede a goal after 64 seconds is inexcusable.
"We could have easily conceded three in the first half.
"We got a reaction in the second half, but it doesn't mean anything when you lose the game."
