Peterborough striker Matt Godden scored twice in seven minutes as they beat Scunthorpe to reclaim second place in League One.
Godden tapped in on the 51st minute from a low Colin Daniel cross and added a second when his shot went through Scunthorpe keeper Jak Alnwick's hands.
Ryan Colclough had Scunthorpe's best chance, forcing a good save from Aaron Chapman just before half-time.
Posh retake second from Barnsley, who beat Luton 3-2 earlier in the day.
Peterborough responded well to their 4-0 loss to Barnsley last weekend with Godden taking his tally to nine for the season, making him joint top scorer in the league.
Scunthorpe struggled to create many chances even though they controlled most of the game, the result leaves them in 13th with only four wins in 13 games.
