Morton climbed up to third in the Championship table with a 2-0 win at Inverness.

Inverness thought they had taken the lead when Gary Warren headed home Liam Polworth's free-kick but the goal was ruled out for offside.

The visitors were soon in front when Scott Tiffoney converted the rebound after his initial effort was blocked.

Joe Chalmers hit the post for the home side, but Gary Harkins secured Morton's win with a 70th-minute penalty.

The victory was extended Morton's unbeaten run to five league games.
