Hull City striker Abel Hernandez has been ruled out for a month with a groin injury.

The Uruguay international, 26, was substituted nine minutes into the Premier League game against Southampton on Sunday.

Hernandez has made 11 appearances for Hull this season and scored one goal, in a 2-0 win at Swansea in August.

Hull forward Will Keane, 23, also went off against the Saints with a knee injury.

"Keane is the worst of the two, it's a case of wait and see," said Hull boss Mike Phelan after Sunday's game.

"They are crazy injuries. There is no reason why, it's just the wrong place at the wrong time."
