Aston Villa manager Lambert to hold Cleverley talks

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert is to hold talks with on-loan midfielder Tom Cleverley about his future.

Villa have an option to buy the 25-year-old England international in January, with his Manchester United contract due to run out in July.

"I will have a discussion with Tom," said Lambert. "The way he is around the place is great. I am pretty sure he loves his football here."

Cleverley was also linked with a move to Everton during the summer.
