Bodmin Town boss Darren Gilbert unhappy at FA Vase defeat

Bodmin Town boss Darren Gilbert says his side did not do enough as they went out of the FA Vase after a 1-0 loss to Gornal Athletic.

Lee Wherton's deflected 13th minute strike put the visitors through.

Gilbert was sent to the stands for entering the pitch and Bodmin had a number of chances to equalise.

"I'm very disappointed - I said we needed to turn up and we didn't turn up today," Gilbert told BBC Radio Cornwall after the defeat.

"It was a silly goal in a nervous 20 minutes where we were all over the shop.

"For 70 minutes I think we did more than enough. Gornal might disagree, but we've gone out to a side that we should have beaten."
