Middlesbrough have signed former FC Basel goalkeeper Jayson Leutwiler on a two-year deal.
Leutwiler, 23, was on the bench for Boro's opening Championship match at Barnsley on Saturday.
The former Switzerland Under-20 international, who is 6ft 4in tall, began his professional career with Neuchâtel Xamax.
He has been signed as cover for current Middlesbrough number one goalkeeping choice Jason Steele.
