Scotland all-rounder Megan McColl has signed to play T20 cricket for Northamptonshire Women during the 2026 county season.
The 25-year-old has won 60 international caps and helped Scotland to a five-wicket win over Zimbabwe in a World Cup qualifier in Nepal on Thursday.
Northamptonshire reached the semi-finals in the tier two One-Day Cup last summer but missed out on the knockout stage of the T20 Blast after finishing third in their group.
They will again be captained by Anisha Patel in the 50-over competition, and Gemma Marriott in the shorter format.
"We're all very pleased with how the squad looks for the upcoming season - there's a lot of continuity from last year with the leaders around the group but there are also a healthy amount of new faces," said head coach David Ripley.
"We had a productive season last year and now it's all about building on that and hopefully seeing ourselves in the latter stages of all competitions."
The Steelbacks squad includes several players on dual registration from tier one sides - Essex's Emma Gibbs, Mabel Reid and Clara Thaker, The Blaze's Emily Carpenter, Warwickshire's Ava Clive and Bethan Robinson and Ameila Kemp of Yorkshire.
