The opening day of the Division Two County Championship match between Derbyshire and Northants at Queen's Park, Chesterfield was abandoned because of a wet outfield.
Umpires Ian Blackwell and Neil Mallender were concerned about damp patches on the bowlers' run ups and called play off at 12:30 BST.
Sunday's T20 Blast match between the two sides was also abandoned.
